Larten was, from a very young age, the top soldier in his battalion. He was revered by his peers and took great care to stay on the top of his superiors' lists. As a Ghoul, he relied not on weapons, but his own brute strength, utilizing teeth, claws, tail, horns, and whatever else he could conjure. Ghouls are best known in the lower circles of hell for eating their opponents. Even so, the average Ghoul did not cannibalise their victims unless it was a death in battle. Larten, on the other hand, ate every creature he fell, whether in battle or in a dark alleyway. Larten's inability to sate his grotesque hunger eventually led him to be forcibly discharged from duties, as in a feeding frenzy he had slain his own men, two generals included. Larten was sent back to civillian life in the city, a letter haunting him for the rest of eternity, reminding anyone who cared to find out what the ghoul had done. Larten regrets only killing his beloved generals, as they were the ones to house, feed, and "love" him. Larten endures recurring nightmares of the incident, and thus has not yet allowed himself a new master for fear of killing him/her again. Larten can still be found every now and then eating a lowly demon he picked up off of the streets, but he has taken to forcing himself to eat normal food more often than living flesh.
